Worldmate Travel software from mobimate provides travelers with information that organizes their travel needs. You can see weather forecast, currency exchange, multiple clocks, and world day/night map. This product is quite famous, and I think it will be more famous since it is now free. Actually WorldMate can do more than the things I just mentioned, it can also show flight schedule, sattelite imagery, and flight status, but those features only exists in the pro version.

UPDATE: I have confirmed that this application IS BUGGY. It will download stuff in the background even though it is set NOT TO DO SO.

It downloads updates even the settings are set TO not do this.
It killed my phone bill when I was on Roaming.
Ive discovered a way to deal with this bug if you have a phone with WiFi capability . At the configuration put as access point a Wi Fi location that you are not next to it . The bad thing is that sometimes youll turn your phone on and it will misteriously ask for a Wi Fi location but it asks only twice . If you can deal with that , your problem is solved .
I wrote to WorldMate’s support and they suggested that I download the last version from their site (and even gave me a code for free…). They did not admit they had a bug but in the new version it has disappeared.
the way i see it they had two bugs: the background silent update and the “update while roaming=no” function that did not work.
but both are OK now.
