This program has two uses. First is to quickly backup your contacts, because the backup application takes a very long time to do the backup. The default backup application is also limited because you have to backup everything in your phone memory (you can not select the phonebook only). You should know that the contacts database is always stored in the phone unlike messages which can be moved to memory card, so creating a backup is a very good idea.
Second is to transfer contacts between Symbian phones (this application is also available on other Series 60 phones), without using PC. This application transfers contact using bluetooth and infrared connection which all series 60 phones have. This program can be downloaded from: http://www.elisanet.fi/portal/s60/.

This is another file explorer application (like Y-Browser), and has less features compared to Y-Browser. So why choose this program? this program can display hardware information (like processor speed, RAM, etc), which Y-Browser can’t show (yet). If you need this kind of information, then you should install SysExplorer along with Y-browser, they both complement each other.
SysExplorer can be downloaded from: http://sysexplorer.newlc.com/.

Xedious is a clone for the classic coin-op arcade game Xevious. Maps and graphics adapted from the xbat game for Unix. Contains 16 levels and three difficulty settings (it wont use the full screen of your phone). You can not change the controls, but then help for controls is included in the game (wait a few seconds in the title screen for the instructions to appear). There is no sound.
Once in a while, I play this game, but never finish it. You can download this from: http://www.elisanet.fi/portal/s60/.

Nokia Mobile Search will make it easy for you to search the web and your local content (such as notes, messages, files, contacts, etc). Previous version of Nokia Mobile Search can only search the web from Yahoo and Windows Live, and is not very useful (since you can do this from the default web browser).
One thing that you should know is that the application doesn’t search the content of a file (unlike Spotlight on Mac OS X, or Google Desktop Search), only the file names. If you are looking for something inside a file, then this application is not for you.
This application can be downloaded from: http://mobilesearch.nokia.com

The default media player for Series 60 3rd edition is already quite good compared to the previous versions (e.g: it has fullscreen mode, better streaming, etc), but sometimes this is not enough. The file size vs quality of real media files is not the best, for some people, DivX is better.
Currently DivX network provides freeware beta version (time limited) of their product at: http://mobile.divx.com/login/. You can use many freeware tools to convert your movies to DivX format for viewing movies on the go. It many not beat iPod video, but if you have a large screen series 60 device (such as Nokia E61), then I think that will be good enough.
