Flash Lite 1.2 is included in most S60 3rd edition phones, but this version of flash is built using very old technology, and many people is not satisfied with that. Adobe has released Flash Lite 2.1 that supports ActionScript 2.0 and Flash Player 7 for Symbian 3rd Edition devices. You can install this new version to play newer flash applications, but unfortunately there are some problems.

Worldmate Travel software from mobimate provides travelers with information that organizes their travel needs. You can see weather forecast, currency exchange, multiple clocks, and world day/night map. This product is quite famous, and I think it will be more famous since it is now free. Actually WorldMate can do more than the things I just mentioned, it can also show flight schedule, sattelite imagery, and flight status, but those features only exists in the pro version.
You can download WorldMate from http://nokiasoftware.mobimate.com/nokia/software/devices_nokia.shtml
UPDATE: I have confirmed that this application IS BUGGY. It will download stuff in the background even though it is set NOT TO DO SO.
Be very careful when you are roaming.

I never really used IRC much, but there are many people that uses it. This program is for people who likes to do IRC chat everywhere with their phone. It is a bit slow, but very easy to use. If you already know IRC commands (such as /LIST, /JOIN, etc), you can directly use the command. I find it comfortable to use my Nokia E61, but it may not be the case with other phones without the qwerty keyboard.
You can download mIRGGI from: http://mirggi.net/.

Frozen Bubble is one of my favorite games, because it is easy to play, not boring, and doesn’t make you think too much. When Elias Konstantinidis released the first version for Symbian 7.0, I was eager to play it on my Nokia 3650, and decided to help him create a build for Symbian 6.0. That was an old story, and now Elias has released the latest version for S60 3rd edition.
This game is not scalable, so you must choose a version that fits your screen size, or choose the nearest one (currently there is no version for 320 x 240, the size of Nokia E61 screen so I use 176×208). If you don’t use the correct resolution, then there will be black borders as shown in the screen capture, and when you switch to another application, the black border sometimes get replaced with the screen of the last application. Hopefully someone will make the correct bitmap for other screen sizes.
You can download this game at: http://fb-s60.sourceforge.net/

Two months ago I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand from Indonesia, that is one of the reason why I didn’t update this blog, as I am still rather busy with a lot of things (moving things, buying things, etc). I think Chiang Mai is a beautiful city. My only complaint is that I can’t read Thai characters (yet), so it is a bit difficult to drive around the city.
Three weeks ago, I bought GlobalSat BT GPS Receiver BT-308, a very cheap ($45) bluetooth GPS receiver from the Internet (because I don’t know where to buy one here). This GPS receiver doesn’t come with any maps, and only with basic software for Pocket PC.
