This is a very simple file explorer application, one of the first freeware for Series 60 3rd edition. It can do most of what a file manager can do (copy, rename, delete, etc), and it is very small (less than 25 kb). Unfortunately this application doesn’t seem to be developed anymore.
You can download this application at: http://www.simonjudge.com/sexplorer.html.

Adobe is trying to make sure that there is Adobe PDF reader in every popular systems. You can find Adobe PDF Reader for Windows, Mac, Linux, Palm, and also for Symbian. From my opinion, this is not the best PDF reader out there. I only use this application to read small PDF files or for making sure I have downloaded the correct file from the internet.
If you intend to read large PDF files, it might be better for you to just convert your PDF files to Mobipocket format, or even HTML format.
Strangely the s60 3rd edition version of the adobe PDF reader is not available from adobe.com. You can download Adobe Reader for E61 from: http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0%2C%2C91844%2C00.html and you can download the version for other phones from their respective product pages.

With my 3G data plan, I like to chat if I have time. Right now, I am still using Agile Messenger, a shareware multi protocol instant messenger. But if you only plan to use MSN, you can use Hier.
Hier is an instant messaging client for MSN protocol. This program is quite easy to use, and supports most MSN functionalities (including sending and receiving attachments). One thing that I don’t like is that the font display is sometime cropped.
This program can be downloaded from: http://hier.ppsay.cn/EN/

If you are learning to play guitar, then this application can help you remember the chords. This program is easy to use, and has easy navigation with the arrow keys.
This program can be downloaded from: http://www.ubahnstation.net/chords.

I alwasy thought it will be interesting to be able to analyze our call log. By analyzing call log, we can answer questions like: How long is my average call duration?, did I spent most of my money for SMS?, would it be better if I take this plan from the provider X over the others?.
Most provider doesn’t send the bill in digital format, and for those that do send in digital format, we need to parse the data (because they are usually in PDF format), and match the phone numbers with our phone book (because they don’t have our phonebook). It will be nice if we can just pull/export the call register data from our phone to a CSV file. We can then analyze the CSV file using any spreadsheet programs (including the default Spreadsheet on S60 3rd edition).
